"sky spats" is the shorthand alias of my other alias "skyler spatman."
i came up with the name when i was a kid by mashing my favorite marvel and dc heros' names together (spider-man + batman).
you can probably guess i've always been a fan of comics, even though i didn't have much access to them growing up.
i used to draw a bunch of strips in an extra composition notebook i had and read tons of fan comics online.
eventually, i ended up going to SCAD and getting my bachelors degree in sequential art.
nowadays, i draw for mini-comics, comic strips, fan comics, and anthologies - my current project being the latter.
